What are the main functions of the MES management system? Let's take a look below.

1. Detailed process scheduling. MES management system This function provides priorities, attributes, features, and recipes related to the specified production unit. Through finite capacity scheduling, it accurately calculates equipment loading/unloading and adjustment times by considering interleaving, overlapping, and parallel operations in production, achieving a good job sequence and minimizing setup time during the production process.

2. Resource allocation and status management. This function manages machine tools, tools, personnel, materials, other equipment, and other production entities to meet production plan requirements, arranging and scheduling them to ensure normal production operation; it provides resource usage history and real-time status information to ensure correct installation and operation of equipment.

3. Process management. This function monitors the production process, automatically corrects errors during production, and provides decision support to users to improve production efficiency. By continuously tracking production operations, it implements some lower-level operations in machine monitoring, uses alarm functions, and achieves data exchange between intelligent devices and the manufacturing execution system through data acquisition interfaces.

4. Human resource management. This function provides the status of each person in the unit, enabling indirect tracking of human resource behavior based on time comparison, attendance reports, behavior tracking, and behavior-based costs.

5. Planning management. This function monitors production and provides decision support or automatic modification for operators during ongoing operations. This behavior focuses internally on tracking, monitoring, controlling, and acting on machines and equipment from one role to the next. Externally, it includes alarm management for plan changes to inform operators and everyone about allowable error ranges.

6. Production unit allocation. This function manages workflow between enterprise production control units in forms such as jobs, orders, batches, lots, and work orders. By continuously adjusting the production schedule formulated in the workshop, it analyzes and handles rework and scrap, uses buffer management methods, and controls the quantity of work-in-progress at any location.

7. Document control. 9. Production tracking and history. This function allows viewing the location of jobs and where jobs are completed, knowing who is performing the job, supplier assets, related serial numbers, current production conditions, alarm status, and other production-related matters after the job.

10. Data collection. This function uses data acquisition interfaces to capture and update various data and parameters related to production management functions, including product tracking, product history maintenance, and other parameters. These field data can be entered manually in the workshop or obtained through various automatic methods.
